John: Oh, sorry! I mean, good afternoon, Jane. I just got here early because I’m so excited to be part of the team!

Jane: (rolling her eyes) Excited, huh? Make sure you follow all the rules, or else…

Sam: (entering) Or else what, Jane? You scare me sometimes.

Jane: (sternly) Sam, you know the rules. Now, John, you’ll be working under me. Here’s your first task: organize the paperwork on my desk.

John: (nervously) Okay, sure. Just… where should I start?

Sam: (laughing) Start with the stapler, John. It’s never in the right place.

John: (entering) Sure thing, Jane. Is there a problem?

Jane: (hanging up the phone) No problem, just wanted you to hear this for yourself. Mark is our biggest client, and we need to make a great impression.

Mark: (on the phone) Jane, I’m glad to hear that. I’ll be in the office next week for a meeting. Prepare for a long day.

John: (nervously) I’ll do my best, Mark. And… can I have some coffee?

Mark: (on the phone) Sure, John. Make sure it’s strong. And Jane, if I see any papers on your desk, I’ll know you’re not doing your job.

John: (nervously) Okay, got it. Thanks, Sam.

Sam: (laughing) No problem, John. But remember, don’t make the same mistake I did. Don’t put the sugar on top of the coffee. It gets all over the place.

John: (chuckling) Oh, I won’t make that mistake.

Mark: (entering) (to John) That’s good to hear. I just came to get some coffee. And, John, I’ll be in your office tomorrow morning. Let’s make sure we have a great meeting.

John: (nervously) Sure thing, Mark. I’ll be ready.

Mark: (grinning) I could use some. And Jane, thank you for the offer, but I think John and I need to have this meeting alone.

Jane: (smiling) Okay, sure. Just make sure you keep it professional, John.

John: (nervously) I will, Mark. I promise.

Mark: (to John) So, John, what’s the plan for our project?

John: (taking a deep breath) Well, Mark, we’ll start by analyzing the data and then move on to the research phase. After that, we’ll present our findings to you.

Mark: (nodding) Good. I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Jane: (entering) John, can I have a moment, please?

John: (nervously) Sure thing, Jane.

Jane: (to Mark) I just wanted to make sure John was ready for this meeting. He’s a great intern, and I know he’ll do well.

Mark: (smiling) I have no doubt about that, Jane. I’ve heard great things about him.

John: (returning) So, what do you think, Mark?

Mark: (smiling) I think we’re off to a good start, John. Let’s make sure we keep it that way.

John: (nervously) I will, Mark. Thank you for the opportunity.

Mark: (smiling) No problem, John. I’m excited to work with you.

Jane: (entering) Well, that went well. I knew John could handle it.

John: (grinning) Thanks, Jane. I’m glad I didn’t mess up.

Sam: (entering) So, did I hear right? John had a successful meeting?

John: (grinning) Yeah, Sam. I think I did okay.

Sam: (clapping) Great job, John! Now, let’s go get some celebratory coffee.

Jane: (smiling) Sounds like a plan, Sam. But remember, no sugar on top.

All: (laughing) Okay, got it.
